My 'employment practises' a.k.a Kerja Praktek
Sorry for the ambiguing title. (thanks to google translate for the weird translation).
It’s my 3rd year in the faculty of architecture, Gadjah Mada University. And i must take an ‘employment practises’ (a.k.a KP). I take PT Roda Pembangunan Jaya for my KP. It’s a residential developer. Not a very big company i think. A lot of my friends take famous-big consultants or architect studios as their KP companies.
Initially, i had time to feel inferior. “How clever they are! What a great architect studio they get! Bla bla bla…”
But now, i think the point is not what company or developer or consultant you are in, but what will you get after you finish your “employment practises”.
In my first day, i could take a conclusion that i haven’t got enough knowledge to be acknowledged that i’m ready to face the real world of architecture and work on it.
Today is my 8th work day.So far it goes so good…even i can say it goes very very good. My boss (the principal architect) is from UGM too. He is very nice. All of the employees in the developer company are sooooo nice. Such as old friends. We do our job seriously but in relaxed situation. Though there are some pressure but we deal it calmly. (Apa sihhh bahasa inggrisnya “serius tapi santai”??)
Hope i can pass this “employment practises” successfully. Get the ‘A’ result. Amin.
Good (early) morning,
ukie ^^
